Whilst our main focus at Mountain Independence is instructing and coaching we appreciate sometimes people just want to have an awesome adventure! Our instructors can be booked privately to guide people on rock climbing and winter climbing adventures in the UK and abroad!

So if there’s a particular route that you’ve always had in mind, or a grade you’d like to break in to, booking a day out with us is sure to be an adventure. Our instructors are quick and slick, we’ll maximize the amount of climbing you can achieve in a day and stack the odds on big days to ensure you’ll get the most out of your time with us.

Your adventure

Together we will discuss your aspirations and experience, to help you achieve your ambitions, whether you are an individual or part of a group. One of the main advantages of private mountain guiding is that it is delivered entirely around your aspirations.

Experienced and Knowledgeable

All of the mountain guides, instructors and leaders that we employ for all of our courses are all very active mountaineers and climbers. All have climbed and walked extensively throughout the UK and many have been on adventurous expeditions around the world. With such a wealth of experience, we will make sure that we find the right professional for you.

Many people draw inspiration from classic guides such as Ken Wilson’s Classic Rock, Hard Rock and Cold Climbs which provide a lifetime of inspiring climbing within their pages. Want to climb classic rock routes in North Wales? We’ve done them all, and practically every route in the select guides up to E2!

Some examples of other places we have offered guided services – Pembroke, the Peak District, Lake District, North West of Scotland, Rjukan in Norway or even remote multi-pitch adventures climbing in the Anti-Atlas of Morocco.
