Mountain Training Approved Provider

Mountain Independence are an approved Mountain Training Provider.

Mountain Training are the awarding body for qualifications in walking, climbing and mountaineering in the UK. We are an approved provider for the Mountain Leader, Rock Climbing Instructor, Climbing Wall Instructor, Indoor Climbing Assistant and Camping Leader qualification schemes that Mountain Training regulate.

We are also an approved provider for the Mountain Training skills courses for Hill Skills, Mountain Skills and all of the Rock Skills courses – Introduction, Intermediate, Learn to Lead Sport and Learn to Lead Trad.

Mountain Training carefully select providers that they feel are at the top of their game, and align with their ethos of supporting people to be independent hill walkers and rock climbers. We’re super proud to have been selected to train and assess people going through the Mountain Training qualifications schemes, and to offer the Skills courses. As part of this Mountain Training regularly update and quality assess us to ensure high standards are maintained and that we’re offering some of the best training out there.
