When you book a place to attend a course with us, we need to collect relevant personal information so that we can enable you to participate.
We are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our clients. Mountain Independence are not in the business of selling, renting or trading email lists with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes.
What we need
When booking on our courses we ask you for the following personal information:

- Phone Number (Optional)
After booking on a course we will ask you for additional relevant information for our Participation and Medical Forms for each person participating:
- First name
- Last name
- Email address (Optional)
- Phone number (Optional)
- Medical details
- Emergency contact name
- Emergency contact phone number
If you submit an enquiry using the website form we ask you for the following information
- First name
- Last name
- Email address
- Phone number (Optional)
- Date(s) interested in (Optional)

How we collect your information
Mountain Independence collects the booking information about you at the time of booking, the enquiry information at the time of you submitting an enquiry using our enquiry form, and the Participation and Medical Forms either by email or in person when attending the course.
Mountain Independence also collect information that you supply to us willingly through the use of email and social media engagement such as liking or commenting on posts.

How we use your information
Mountain Independence only use the information we collect from you to process your booking, receive payment, to inform you of relevant information regarding your course and safely deliver your course.
If you have consented, we may also send you marketing emails occasionally. We’re not fans of spam and this will be infrequent and you can always opt out again.
Mountain Independence will never share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Sharing your information
When you book or attend a Mountain Course you agree to having the personal information you have supplied shared with relevant people. In addition to Mountain Independence this could include our staff, and sub-contractors delivering our courses.This information is shared for the purpose of providing you with the course and for your safety.
The other occasions when Mountain Independence will share or disclose your personal information with third parties is if we are required by law to do so or to protect the safety of our staff.
Security of your information
Mountain Independence stores your information electronically on servers based in the EU, and is accessed by our staff for the purposes set out above. As required we will share information with staff or sub-contractors for the duration of any course they are working on with you.
How long we keep your personal information
We keep a record of your personal information to provide you with the services requested, and for record keeping as required by our insurance. We will review and delete your personal information after it is no longer required.

Following these links will take you to websites where we cannot be held responsible for the information or content and you should read the privacy policies of those websites accordingly. - you have the right to request access to any personal information we hold on you by making via a ”subject access request”.
- if you believe any of your personal information is inaccurate or incomplete, you have a right to request that we correct that information.
- if you wish for us to delete your personal information, you may request we do so.
